Introduction
Nima started soccer at the tender age of 5, joining the
Unionville-Milliken soccer club - house league. He immediately
became a top scorer, making him a valuable asset to the
team. After the season, he was heavily recruited by the other
coaches to join their teams for the following season. At the age
of 12, he was hand-picked by the club's head coach to play for the
select team. There, Nima enjoyed immediate success as the team's
left mid-fielder. Shortly after the season ended, Nima and his
family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. There, he searched for a team to
join, but was picked up by an up-and-coming West Valley team. With
poor team management, the team eventually dissolved and Nima was in
need of a new team. Luckily, the team's coach informed Nima of a
soccer club that could thrive with his growing potential. Nima
immediately joined Sereno's 90 Blue team, which is two years above his
age level, but the team was in desperate need of a player. He
ended the season with the 90 Blues and then the 91 Whites needed an
extra player to take to a US Club Regionals in Las Vegas. At
Regionals, Nima showed his colors by scoring 2 goals and 3 assists and
showing off his phenomenal speed. After Las Vegas, news of Nima's birth
date surfaced. Nima was playing above his age level, and he was
directed to the 92 White team. Nima enjoyed much success with the
92 White, scoring many goals and many assists. Leading the team
count with assists, Nima proved to be an unselfish player with
playmaking abilities on the field. Off the field, Nima's
congeniality can be seen when he is with his teammates preparing for
training or after games, making him a well-liked player with the Sereno
family.
In the 2005-2006 State Cup season, The 92 Whites successfully defended their State Cup title and were on the road to Regionals in Boise, Idaho. At Regionals, the 92 Whites were able to make it to the final game where, unfortunately, they were not able to win.
To start the 2006-2007 season, Nima made the decision to leave Sereno
and find a new club; he joined the SC Del Sol '91 Extreme White. Nima
joined the team during a re-building season, and at State Cup, he
helped his team achieve a higher rank than previous years; they
finished 3 rd . After State Cup, the 91s went through a coaching
change.
Currently, Nima is in his 2nd year with SC Del Sol under the direction
of well-know coach, Paul Taylor. The team is underway with the
current season en route to the 2007-2008 State Cup.
Nima's family consists of his parents, and two sisters. Nima is a
joker with a great sense of humor. His compassionate nature allows
him to be optimistic all the time and a true-believer in
faith.
